- I suggest using ^ for Control, and the up-arrow (ASCII 1) for Shift. Both
- should be shown for a combined keystroke - and the key itself should always
- be shown in uppercase, as that's what's on the keyboard. Alt is fairly
- traditionally shown as ASCII 7, although I can think of no logical reason
- for that. Since this is also a window gadget character (fuller), it always
- seemed an odd choice, but it's so universal that I think we're stuck with it.
- If we do change it to something more sensible, how about a lowercase 'a'?
- I think NeoDesk's use of [Alt] is just too long.
